On January 22nd, the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce honored Cibolo Creek with their 2021 Business of the Year Award for businesses with over 50 employees. We are very grateful to the Boerne Chamber for recognizing our dedicated caregivers, and we are thankful to live and work in a community that has been so supportive of our efforts to protect our residents throughout the pandemic. The Chamber, The City of Boerne, Kendall County Emergency Management, Boerne Kendall County EDC, Bexar County Emergency Management, the local health department, Boerne ISD, Bexar Aid, and the outstanding Boerne Fire Department have been tremendous partners.
We are also fortunate to have such a kind group of resident family members to nurture our residents and our associates. They have braved hot and cold weather during window visits, countless hours at our “phone booth”, and endured continual testing right along with our staff. These family members have been an essential part of the team throughout this ordeal.
Most of all, thank you to all of our wonderful associates who have done everything possible to protect our residents. From being the first to test in April 2020, to the dozens and dozens of shifts covered for teammates, to the thousands of extra hours worked, walking miles in the snow because you knew your residents needed you, to achieving a 100% staff vaccination rate – and ABKing all the way – You are awesome! And we are so proud to be on your team!
